AstroPower is a private power plant established in 2017 through foreign investment with the aim of expanding power generation infrastructure and leveraging advanced technologies. The facility commenced operation in 2018 with an initial capacity of 5 MW and increased its generation capacity through the implementation of development phases.

History and Development

From Our Beginning to Today

AustroPower has taken significant steps toward sustainable growth and the adoption of modern technologies, becoming one of Iran's notable distributed-generation power plants.

2017

Plant Established

AustroPower was established with foreign investment to expand electricity generation infrastructure and deploy modern energy technologies.

2018

Operations Began

The plant entered commercial operation with an initial 5 MW capacity and connected to the national electricity grid.

2019

Development Phase

A development phase increased generation capacity to better support grid demand.

At AustroPower, CHP technology enables efficient energy production while recovering valuable heat that would otherwise be wasted.

Electricity Generation

Natural gas is converted into electricity using internal combustion engines designed for continuous operation throughout the year.

Heat Recovery (CHP)

Heat produced during electricity generation is recovered to warm the greenhouse and supply CO2 that supports faster photosynthesis.

Aeroponic Greenhouse

Soil-free cultivation reduces reliance on fertilizers and pesticides, while underfloor heating and recovered CO2 support faster plant growth.
